Cabo is one of my favorite outdoor places. With so much to do and so much to see it’s almost impossible to get tired of this place. My first trip to Cabo was in December of 2011 and the weather couldn’t have been better. One thing I love about Cabo is that the weather is never cold no matter what time of the year it is. In December it was 75-85 degrees.
One of the most exciting experiences of my life was about 50 miles out to sea trolling for tuna fish. I was a rookie when it came to fishing so I didn’t really know what to expect. Although my good friend Kasem said “You know the fish you’re looking for are big when the size of your bait is bigger than the biggest fish you’ve ever caught in your life.” Haha it was true this wasn’t pond fishing! Five hours into the trip, we’d caught nothing and I was more sea sick than I’d been since I was five years old. As all six of us on the boat were drifting off to sleep, all four lines went off in a matter of seconds. It was chaos and we were all running around like crazy trying to uncross our lines and begin reeling! I fought this 85 pound tuna fish for 45 minutes and have never been so tired in my entire life. I finally won the battle! We caught nine of these tuna fish and could barely fit them all in the boat!
This was my favorite part of my trip down to Cabo and I can’t wait to go back!
If you like the sun, the sand and swim up to Bars, Cabo might be your next perfect outdoor place to visit!
